Design and construction of machinery
Our group designed and built a 5-axis laser cutter and milling machine for our own use. We wanted to automate the production of a plastic product. The laser cutter cuts off the excess material of the product and then mills a recess of exactly 0.01 mm in the product, where it can be fixed later. The machine has an engineering tolerance of 0.01 mm.
